What you think would be a better idea to go with custom intercooler or a kit like blitz etc.
any tips on it?

 

there is alot of time, effort, etc involved in making your own, and its not going to be free. I always thought it was better to just spend the extra. If you are going single turbo, there is no question. Might as well go with a company that has spent thouands upon thousands testing and designing these things so they work right.

Most people that make their own do such a shitty job. Even if it looks nice, it will never have the proper air flow that engineers design at the companies.

Buy a Greddy or Apexi. Id stay away from blitz. They are not horrible, but apexi still kicks the crap out of them all. And greddy is the next closest thing if you dont have Apexi kinds of money, lol.

 

blitz is been specially design their product in the toyota market. i think they doin good job our our car.

 

Honestly it is not that hard to make a custom IC, it just takes time and good planning.
But do not be fooled, the money saved will never outweigh the time spent making sure every piece is right and that everything works well.

The best part of building your own is the feeling of accomplishment when you are finished, and being able to tell people when they look at it and go which company makes that; your response is I did.

Get an idea of what you want and plan it out the best you can and get a feeling for the price of every piece and how it is all going to go together before you even purchase part one.

And don’t buy into the hype that production models are better or have better flow, they have their design flaws as well, and need to fit into a allotted area so compromises are made.

thats a huge filter you got there! cleaning it must be like cleaning pool filters with a hose. jk
