Regards Adrian Thanks in advance Mazda FD3S 3rd Gen 2.6 twin turbo rx-7 also, you have a 4 rotor fd? |
He's got a 13B. He probably just read one of those "1.3L is really a 2.6L" debates. If he had a 4 rotor, he would have more than 2 posts.

not sure what engine I got, but I need to know how to take the instrument panel out as the chip sits behind that and also delimits the car to enable you to go faster than the 112mph, if anyone knows how to take out the instrument panel, please let me know.

well this is a different type of question...not too bad to do.
first remove the three screws under steering column cover and remove cover take out two screws under instrument cluster then the cluster will pop out there are six or seven connectors behind that cluster and they have two clips holding them in, one at the top, and the other at the bottom, so it makes it even more enjoyable to disconnect them. :-) that's it...obviously you have to disconnect your dimmer and headlight motor switches and the cig. lighter, but you get the idea. |
and leave the new guy alone...he just doesn't think it is possible that a mere 1.3L can put out over 600 rwhp :-)

I found it helpfull to lower the column also. Pretty much step by step can be found HERE
The air duct (drivers side not passenger) just pulls out to reveal the screws. It takes a fair amount of force if it's never been out so be brave! |
You also have to remove the center trim panel for the radio, as there is a screw for the gauge hood that is covered by this panel.

When my chip arrives I will follow your instruction and hope it works
