Installing remote start need a tach source

I need a tach source for my remote start. I tried using the one to my tach but it read under 2V and it needs to be 2-12 Volts. I have a halteh to further complicate the situation. Any ideas? Already tried the positive IG1-ST activated side of the coil.

Isn't there a tach connection in the data diagnostics connector?

what auto start do you have? a lot of times you don't need to connect into the tach.

I changed a setting on the alarm and it is working right now. I got it to work off noise from the tach wire. Works quite nicely.

You better set aside about two days...I kept running into all sorts of problems with mine. It helps if you thoroughly memorize the instructions beforehand

I have this alarm also. It took the alarm installer about 5 hours to get everything working right, well actually not everything. I had to program the autostart myself. Eversince I had drain my PC680, the damn autostart doesn't work anymore. I've tried reprogramming but to no success. I've tapped into the Tach via Diagnose box but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions?
