installed greddy elbow and type-s bov, only 5psi
any ideas?
checked for air leaks twice (about to do it for the third time). vacuum line from the UIM to the bov is new so it shouldn't have any cracks in it. the bov is adjustable (hard <-- --> soft) , i'm gonna gradually adjust it harder after every test run until i get 10psi, if i even do. also gonna try going softer if harder doesn't work. any help to get this done quicker would be appreciated. thanks kris |
chek your bov spring. put it as harder u can .
maybe you are leaking boost by the bov or go for a test drive and you can hear if ur bov is leaking. |

think i'll try sticking in the stock bov back in and see if i'm getting normal boost...maybe someone can help me diagnose this from there

try pluging the hose. If you leave the stock BOV in place but not huck up it will leak also that's why you get the 8 psi |
should i plug up the bov hose while it's still connected to the y-pipe?
--or-- take off the hose and plug up the nipple at the y-pipe? |
I have the same setup and I have the nipple at the y-pipe capped off and stock bov NOT in place. However, I'm in the process of trying to locate a boost leak myself, not related to this though.
