Idle Speed Control resistance question

I was checking my ISC valve tonight (troubleshooting idle/starting problems) and according to the FSM pp-F83, it should read in the range of 10.7-12.3 Ohms. I'm getting a reading of 12.9 Ohms, just outside of the range. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this valve and if my readings warrant replacement. This is a really expensive part and I wanted to get other opinions before I forked out the bucks. I didn't find anything on the subject during my searches. Thanks in advance.

You're probably more likely to see a short or open if the motor fails than you would a slightly high resistance. I don't think that you have a bad ISC, at least not electrically. In fact, I've seen cheap DMMs deviate from calibrated values quite a bit out of the box. What kind of start/idle problem are you having?

Thanks for the info broken93. I actually have another thread on the start/idle problem. Still working my way through the troubleshooting process.
