Idle problem

I have recently dropped a new engine and new turbos in my car and redid all my hoses silicone. I'm 99.5% sure that every hose is on and on tight. My mods include:
Intake, FMIC, dp, mp, Power FC
I put the Power FC (programed by Ray) and the idle went up to about 2500. 150 miles later, I'm having an idle problem. Cranking it up cold (without AWS), the idle goes to about 1800. As the car warms up, it reaches and stays at a very constant 2400 rpm. I found a check valve today that was backwards under the manifold. I fixed the check valve and put the manifold back on. I cranked the car and now it idles at 3k. Any ideas? I'm desperate! Thanks

Richard

My friend is having the same problem. It started after he installed the PFC. If you figure out the problem please send me a private msg by email (ccarlisi@aol.com).

Thanks.

i'm not having the problem, but if you find the solution, don't just send the other guy an email! post it in your thread so others can find the solution, too! it drives me nuts when people find a fix, but don't post it for others to read

not flaming, just asking you to share the knowledge!

Sharing knowledge and sharing my humbling experience. Turns out I was a simple moron... I pushed on the throttle body to close it and damned if it wasn't that simple. The dashpot is bad so I simply removed it and it works fine now. Apparently the only use of the dashpot is so that the engine doesn't decelerate too quickly from 2500 to idle... Now since I f@%!ed with my TPS I need to go in and adjust it. I hate it when I do something that stupid!

I was about to mention the same thing!

That happend to this guy's FD over here. The dashpot was sticking. Sometimes it would go in slowly and other times it wouldn't. We cleaned it up with engine cleaner and greased it up with some WD40, andit works great now.
