IACV - humming/buzzing noise
When connected it makes a kind of high frequency buzzer/humming noise. Do they all do this? I never remember it making this noise, and I have replaced it with another second hand one. I've tested both with a 12v power adaptor, they click open and shut fine. It's a weird harmonic noise too, sounds like when a bearing is about to go.

I have heard that before. I would probably pull the ISC and clean it out really well and see if that helps.
I don't know if it's really a problem or not. Dale |

I don't know if it's really a problem or not. Dale Cheers Dale. I did give it a good blast of WD40. Some cursory googling suggests this could just be harmonic resonance cause by my IC piping being just the right size to act as a resonator, so whilst not doing any harm it's just bloody annoying! |
Which ecu are you using? Mine had the same buzz and I changed the frequency settings in my Adaptronic modular from 100hz to 244hz and it totally cured it. |

I have the power FC also, and only heard a loud humming from it a couple of times. when the car was not running, but in the on position. seemed to be if the car died while running, and I left the key in the on position, while working on something.

I don't think you can alter the frequency in the power FC...I think it is hard coded in, but I could be wrong.
I had the same issue on the haltech elite when driving it at 500hz and dropping it to 244hz solved my issue as well. Skeese |
Yeah, no way to change on the PFC as far as I can work out. If it gets really annoying I might try and take or add an inch to the intake piping which should shift the standing waves causing the noise.
