I think you're SOL, brother. Referencing my post #3, the pill-shaped pin that goes between that claw shaft indentation and the threaded rod will prevent that shaft from being pulled. Why would you rebuild the brakes without changing those seals? It all comes in the rebuild kit.

Yeah I realized that as I was trying to pull them out. I'm just going to tear them apart again tomorrow.

I rebuilt them back around 2005 and did the same thing. I guess I was just afraid I wouldn't be able to get it all back together right lol.

Im so happy i found this!! I will be rebuilding my rears soon. My ebrake doesnt work at all so i should do it sooner than later lol.

I think the correct Mazda part number is FDY1-26-46Z -- "Z" rather than "2"
At least that's what the internet seems to be telling me!
