Very nice cars everyone of the car but why is everyone going 99'spec? The 99' front bumber isn't that nice, IMHO.

i notice the updated look of 99 bumpers flows better with aftermarket kits like vented hoods, wings.

original style bumper is a little out of place with lets say-- a scoot hood and a gt wing with flared fenders, low clearance skirts and a diffuser..

that's because it's 'IYHO' ;)

99 spec looks much better than 93 usdm bumper, I happen to love mine. It also is much more functional, with larger rad and oil cooler openings. It also is a great way of getting rid of an beat-up old 93 bumper while still keeping an oem polyurethane bumper (vs crappy fiberglass).

Oh, and my FD went from 100% stock to what it is now :)

Good to see all these serial modders out there! Heres my story...

http://www.face2faces.co.uk/RX7/lights/DSC00042.JPG

Standard car with blown coolant seals, scratched interior, crappy wheels.

Fitted new rebuild kit, rotor housings, end plates etc. New wheels, headlights, so on. Just got the car finished yesterday. All in all, 20 days of solid work on the car.

Yes, I agree on this one, if you mod the looks with skirts etc. then the 99' spec bumber is right on the spot+the functionality. I guess I am more of the factory-original-looks-guy. :)

I got a job at a 3rd generation specific Rotary shop and learned how to build engines and work on every aspect of the car.

I have done 100% of the work on this car myself including building the engine and the entire paint job/body work.

because most people here in the forum like the stock look...I was going to do the same thing and go 99, but too many people have it so decided to go the body kit direction...

I will soon be RICE!!!!!...lol...
