How do you eliminate....

How do you eliminate the Cruise Control, I tried searching here and rob robinette's site and came up with nothing..

I just want to take out the mechanism since I have no use for it...

take out that thing with the extra throttle cable that is to the right of you master cylinder. I think it has 3 bolt, 1 plug and that cable that easly comes off teh TB.

There's nothing to it. You just remove the throttle cable off the throttle body. Disconnect the connector and unbolt it from the inside of the car.

.

i just started unbolting anything that seemed attached and pulled the cable to the throttle. had to bash off that one plastic guide the cable from the CC goes through. best mod ever! well no not really but its a little cleaner.

Sorry to bring a topic back from the dead, but you pull the throttle cable, and unbolt the thing in the engine bay. What do you unbolt from the inside of the car?(where is it located) What wires can I take out?

KaiFD3S 08-16-04 07:53 PM

nothing from inside the car, just unplug the cc which is connected by the cc thingy

Right, unless you want to pry off the cruise control buttons of the steering wheel. Pulling it out will lighten you about 8 ounces.

Sorry, "inside the car" refers to the engine bay, not the cockpit area.
