How To Disable Stock Security System?
 

My security system has a mind of it's own and goes off whenever it feels like. It's embarrassing and I want to just disable it.

I think there is a fuse for it under the drivers side dash.

but then again, I could be wrong. But I may not be, unless I am in which case I will be.

i've heard of ppl grounding out certain sensor wires (door, hood) to make the car think that it isn't closed, and therefore won't activate the alarm.

I went the hood sensor route...just disconnected the sensor, and then I shorted the two wires. Now the stock alarm never activates.

When my alarm goes off, my battery dies. Damn alarm wanting to flash my HID's. :(

Are you saying all I have to do is pop my hood and then lock the doors and the alarm will not be activated?

My alarm will activate with my hood/hatch open.

I too would like to know what to do. A couple days ago the alarm just decided to go off while I was driving. I don't have the money at the time to get a new alarm put in.

I have never had the alarm trigger on my current gen 3, how do I test it to verify that it is working?

My previous gen 3 used to randomly trigger and then I knew it was working...

when the hood and hatch are closed and you lock the doors (the passenger door is locked). in about 10 seconds after you lock it you will hear a faint beep. The "Security" light will flicker then. Your light could be burned out so the way to test it is leave the windows rolled down, lock the car. Then about 30 seconds later, reach in and open the car door from the interior door handle. The horn will go off and the engine will be immobilized.

Mine beeps upon locking with only drivers side door open.

my drivers side door can be unlocked and it will set as long as the pass side is locked.

Those of you with issues, take your drivers side door handle off and take a look at the rods that attach to the lock mechanisms. There are these small plastic sleeves that attach the rod to the mechanism. if you have tears in them or coming off, that could cause your alarms not working correctly.

Well until I figure out how to disconnect it at least I found out it shuts off after 5 minutes. I guess that's better than leaving it unlocked for long periods time in public areas.

On the front hood lock, remove the hood lock, there is a sensor connector mounted to the hood lock. Disconnect when your alarm is deactiveated and it won't trigger ever again until you hook it back up. But find out why your alarm is acting up in the first place.

BTW, don't try to steal my car, I have a SigSauer P225 trained on it at all times.

I have guards armed with assault rifles that stand next to my car whenever I'm not in it. One of them comes with me while i'm in the car, and the other follows in an Abrams Tank.

My security would activate with the hood open, but not the hatch. I disconnected the hatch wire. It was much easier than removing the hood lock assembly. I then had to ground the connection for the car to think the hatch is open. Just a small spade connector crimped on one end of the wire and a round connector crimped on the other end. The spade end fits in the stock connector and then just find a good grounding spot for the other end. Make sure the hatch light is in the on position. When the light comes on, you have a good ground connection.

The only drawback is that you have to leave the hatch light in the off position while it is closed, but will still work if you turn it on when needed.

Disable factory alarm system how to:

Remove the drivers side kick panel.
Unplug the white 20 pin connector.
Unplug the white 8 pin connector that is directly above the 20 pin connector.
Reinstall the kick panel.

I hear unplugging those wires will cause the passenger side door not to lock and unlock along with the driver's door? Is this true?

Also, the way I disabled my factory alarm is by taking the factory hood pin wire in CPU#2 (Drivers Kick Panel - Brown/White) tapped into it and then grounded it the other end with a ring crimp onto the body.

I tried disconnecting the hood pin switch itself (in engine bay hood latch). This didn't work for me. My factory alarm still would arm itself.

You heard correct. It never bothered me to reach over and lock it myself though.

Are you sure? I unplugged the 8 pin and the 20 pin connector (Didn't have to remove the kick panel) and the door locks/unlocks fine.

Disabled mine that way too and no problems with the passenger side lock..

Yeah, my alarm went off today at 3 a.m., 5:50 a.m., and 7:30 a.m. but I wasn't there. Neighbors got very pissed.

wow this is a very old thread! lol zerobanger actually helped me disable my stock alarm half a decade ago and it still works likea charm.

you can just unplug the middle connector on CPU2 and itll disable you alarm... and your non stop blinking seatbelt light if you have that issue too...
