ugh... what should i do about this? sorry for the crappy cell-phone picture. |
ive seen worse...
you might be able to get a better one from a rotary rebuild shop, or you could try to repair that one. |
i was thinking about trying to cut it off and weld a new flange on... but i know it has to be perfect so i dont know if i should. I can weld and my dad used to be a professional welder, but stil.

i also ported the exhaust side of my turbo housings...i figured - my motor has a street port, might as well port out the turbo housings a little bit. seems they spool just as fast as stock even though i'm running them non-seq now. http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...29_48_full.jpg http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...29_49_full.jpg CHRA: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...29_50_full.jpg ported: http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...29_96_full.jpg |
Sounds good, thanks for the help.

That crack is not that bad. Make sure the flange is flat, take it to a shop to have it sanded or milled flat and bolt those turbos up.
FD turbos last as long as about 2-3 engines if you aren't running the boost up high (past 12psi). |
Easy fix ,I have repaired many far worse than that .
|
Theorie, your non-seq setup spools as fast as seq? As in, 10 psi of boost instantaneously at 3k+ rpm?
