Question Help with prespool?

Hi guys,

So I've been doing a lot of reading on the mod you can do by putting in a manual boost controller for the waste gate and prespool actuator to control the prespool, but alot of the threads are about fixing the boost to the 10-8-10 pattern. My boost pattern is fine but what I would like to know is if it possible to get a 10-10-10 pattern and having a solid 10psi of boost through out the rev range and have a smooth change over by doing this mod?

Thanks,
Luke

Best way to get a smooth transition is a PowerFC and a Datalogit. You can change the transition point lower which removes the dip in power.

yup this is the best way I've seen .

plus you get many other goodies from the PFC.

Also I run a bit higher boost 13 primary that tapers to 12 with the secondary turbo.

This smoothens out transition , and gives you a bit more power down low.

ofcourse you could try a 11 10 10 setup if you rather have the reliability

I was able to increase transition boost by drilling the prespool pill ever so slightly. By ever so slightly, I truly mean removing very little material from the pill. The pill is made of a very soft substance, and drills out very easily.

I found that putting in a needle valve does not work well at all for the the prespool line.

hmmm.. well if you mean the mbc needle setups . did you try it with or without hte pill ?

The other way I could think of is putting a manual boost controller , inplace of the pre control Pill line , and up the boost on the primary turbo to about 11 or 12 , this should not cause any lean issues and may smoothen out transition ,

Do you really want to ask that? What do you think?
