Help. New Build Wont Start.

Dont know if that will work.

My car wont start and run. I ran the first time i had it turned over... it reved upto 5k on its OWN and was continuing to build so I shut it down. After that point i cant get it to run on anything except starter fluid. I pulled the primaries and have fuel when starting... I just put new gaskets on uim lim and tb... Im just going strait into the TB. The intercooler piping isnt hooked into the loop. The engine is spinning and has compression by ear... I dont have any tools for checking it. I have spark from the plug wires.. sounds like its starving for fuel... I have a FPR installed at 45lbs i think its hard to adjust before i get it running its a new fpr... The Oil Pressure Sending Unit was taken out and replaced with an after market just curious if that causes it to not run. Plenty of questions can be asked. The map tracer mode on my pfc is just showing a bar at the bottom of the screen no moment im supposing thats from no start. I dont know what to tell people so please ask questions Im a newb.

sensor check on the powerfc to see if anything is highlighted and what it is.
and revving high on its own sounds like a massive vaccum leak if you havent touched any throttle/idle screw settings while it was torn apart.

K well that was the reason for the new gaskets. the gaskets came after the crazy revving issue

1 Attachment(s)
Sensor Check Picture... Looks like a bunch of pretty abbreviations playing connect 4

It doesn't look like any your sensors are hooked up, except your IAT sensor. PIM is your MAP sensor and is very critical, as well at VTA1 and 2, those are your TPS high and low range sensors. I would double check sensor connections and your harness continuity.

Z_rx7 05-10-11 09:24 PM

Not sure if it matters. Im running a single turbo without any emissions. dont know what that would be considerd

Z_rx7 05-10-11 09:27 PM

And I just removed the rats nest sensors the line of them. Another question does black circle = hooked up or open.. assuming i answered my question with the question of just double checking

Turbo8 05-10-11 09:52 PM

So did you delete your MAP sensor and TPS sensors are part of your emissions removal? Because according the PFC they are not plugged into your harness.

Z_rx7 05-10-11 09:57 PM

Making sure i got the sensors right

MAP Sensor = on firewall with boost on top = connected.
TPS = 4 pron connected to TB

thats a huge problem

anything on the left side highlighted with 4.99 volts means not connected. dont assume since the plug to the sensor is good, that its sending a signal to the ecu and the ecu is recieving it. also everything on the left, besides fuel/o2 are sensors needed to start the car.

makes sure the BLUE connector above the ECU is plugged in, its seperate from the ecu plugs that go into the ecu itsself.

You also need to pick up a powerfc manual and go through it and learn it, stuff like this is critical when you dont have support elsewhere.

the solid black circles indicate "on", open circles indicate "off".

I found a pfc manual and im pulling my harness apart now... I think my friend tucked my ground wires instead of making sure they were connected possibly causes my entire sensor setup to not send back signal.

Thank you... ill update when my sensors are all showing reasonable voltages and then if the car isnt running at that point ill rant some more for help

Z_rx7 05-10-11 11:25 PM

1 Ground Wire got every sensor to come back online. Thank you for your help.. kids in the neighborhood so I test it in the morning.

Did you also do an OMP delete?
