MA help identifying part

Hey guys,

I found this in a 87 RX-7 parts car I bought. It obviously doesn't fit a 2nd gen,but maybe it is for a 3rd gen. Take a look at the pics, and help me out. I am a 1st gen guy,so I have no idea what this is.

Nope, throw it away or I can dispose of it for you! LOL. It's worth a lot actually. Check the for sale forum to get a feel for what it's worth.

Can someone tell me how to ohm it out,so I know it is good? I would just plug it in,but I don't own a 3rd gen,nor do I have access to one. I would like to sell it,but I can't in good conscience do that without knowing it is good.

Yep, that's a 94-95 power window switch. The auto window down feature was added in '93.

The way they normally fail is the switches physically will break. If the buttons go down and pull up smoothly, it's most likely good. If you want to go the extra mile, get the shop manual from the stickies at the top of the forum, it should have a test method for the switch.

I'd say you could get $50 EASY for the switch. They're a somewhat common failure point.
