When was the last time you changed your O2 sensor?

Mahjik: could the O2 trigger the error codes for all three? code 17 means no feedback from the O2... how abt code 5, the knock sensor? where is it located? and code 6?

Twinturboteddy: my bad... was a bit frustrated as my check engine light did not come on... but shows 3 error codes using the diagnostic computer...

Yes, a problem with the O2 sensor could trigger the ECU code 17.

Check the following threads for info:

BTW, I pulled these up with quick search. Just take your time, there is plenty of info on the forum.

Mahjik: im searching it and browsing 1 by 1...tanx a bunch... much appreciated...

the problem wiv the search button is that you have to have a right term, and i was lookin under the error codes!

just wondering do i have to change the O2 sensor wiv the mazda one? or better? is there such a thing as a wideband O2 sensor?

You can get the Boosch Universal O2 sensor. Just cut the wire and splice the new one on.
