Angry Having a problem !

I just finished installing my custom monster FMIC , I had to trim the oil cooler ducts at the back of the bumper to get it to fit . Now the bumper lights dont fit cause the IC pipe is passing where the lights were . Does anyone make a custom bumper light setup using more shallow lights to allow clearance ?

This is what I'm asking about , something like this with slimmer lights , or even just the finisher and I get my own lights .

Guess I talking to myself then ?.... well in that case .....self , here is what I am thinking of doing . I am planning on getting a pair of round 3.5"-4.5" projector styled driving lights and a pair of round motorcycle styled turn signal lamps , mount them in the hole in the bumper and have the local fiber glass guy fab up a cover similar to the Mazdaspeed one above and have it painted body colour , what do you think ? !

well what I did was cut out part of my drivers side turn light and covered the cut I made and spray some chrome in it and viola you cant barely tell

I think it's too much trouble I would just remove the lights, leave the lenses but tint them out with spray tint and then add to nice PIAA foglights on the bottom if you want more lights.

Remember that the headlight centerlines have to be 24" (IIRC) above the ground to be street-legal.

Anyone know if the 99 spec bumper lights are the same in depth as th 93 , eventually I'll be going with a '99 spec front end .

LED's might be the answer: they've got a nice low profile, and most are colored when lit but clear when off. I'm not sure if you'd be better off modifying your old lights or fabricating a new front lens as well.

Still would be less hassle to cut and reweld...should have thought about this stuff BEFORE you went to a final state...that's why you mock things up...tack things in place, make sure everything fits, THEN do all the final welding.

What's up with you , you questioning my ability ?, this isnt my first build , I have lots of experience doing this , everything fit how I want it and its not going to change , I am looking for the best solution for my bumper lights without having to change my intercooler or the piping work I did ,I would have modified the piping a while ago if I wanted to . I dont really want to put the stock crappy lights back on anyway , am thinking of an upgrade to further help out the FD's poor lighting , I already have anumber of options in mind , thanks for your "help" anyway

how far into the light is the ic pipe if its not much you can always flatten the pipe a little for the clearance you need.

I am thinking of just leaving the holes open to allow some cool air in , and just stickin in a pair of mini driving lights and mini amber indicator lamps like in the pic.

Good idea. You can turn it into a cold air duct for your turbo(s).
