Having an issue at 6000
I was driving on the highway today around 3800 RPM in 3rd gear and floored the accelerator... I hit 11 psi quick and then in transition it always tends to spike up to 13-14 and then come right back to 12 where it is supposed to be...but as soon as I hit 6000 rpm it cuts out...the wierd thing is it doesn't do this if I quickly down shift to 3rd and floor it all the way to redline...
When it spikes in transition the spike sends the rpms over 6000 then when it corrects it falls below to around 5500... the cut occurs the second time it hits 6000...could this be the problem? the fuel cut is set for 8500 and the boost cut is set at 17psi so I can't see it being one of those... I have dp, hi flow, cat back, pfs purple, pfs intake/ic, ground wires, and vaccum hoses redone... TIA James |
is it an automatic?
if it's standard, sounds like you've got a bad clutch, in addition to something else. |
it's standard
what makes you think it's the clutch?? it holds through to redline in both first and second...

Why is your fuel cut set to 17 psi when you are running the stock fuel system...shouldn't be exceeding 13 psi or so, 14 psi max. |
