Have you ever seen...

A warped bell housing. My buddy had one today when I was working on his rx7. He has bought a used motor and tranny and sure enough it was warped. I didn't think it was possible but apparently it is.

In this case it is likely that warped = bent in accident.

Accident where the car caught on fire. The only way cast aluminum will warp is by being on a lot of heat, it doesn't bend since it doesn't have flexibility and it would just crack.
