mad_7tist 03-10-05 10:29 PM

jeff p 03-10-05 11:15 PM

I use MMO and Pettit ProTec R. engine is smooth and vacuum PSI is up a little. use 4 oz per tank. I mix 2 oz of MMO and 2 oz of ProTec R per tank.

not premix as stated

akiratdk 03-11-05 05:36 AM

Pettit ProTec R.... how is this not a premix... I think this thread is asking for this answer. ^ ^

rx7guy1 03-11-05 06:43 AM

I use Amsoil premix

Sesshoumaru 03-11-05 07:58 AM

wal-mart stuff. It comes in a gallon container and is about 5 bucks.

tech something.

I've been premixing solely on my FC and sometimes on my FD b/c the oil jets don't seal and the oil flows down the lines when it sits for a while.

Been running great. Have about 25k on my FC motor I built with stock seals and the FD motor that I used RA seals has about 10k. I never premixed during break in periods.

mmo is not pre mix. and i am not sure if 2 oz of protec in a full tank counts as anything but whatever

broken93 03-11-05 09:49 AM

I use a big jug of TC-WC3 marine 2-stroke oil, and pre-measure it into 8-oz bottles (reused small water bottles).

Idemitsu Racing Rotary Fuel Lube (Premix) http://www.rotorsportsracing.com/per...g/idemitsu.htm and you only have to mix 1/2 oz. Per 1 Gallon of Gasoline

theorie 03-11-05 11:36 AM

4oz of Royal Purple TCWIII 2-stroke for every full tank

just hit 50k miles and the car still runs like its brand new

SPOautos 03-11-05 11:49 AM

I've tried a lot of them, the ones I liked the best were Amsoil seen here for $8.75/qt which lasts me 2 full tanks.... https://www.amsoil.com/storefront/tdr.aspx They do have some much cheaper Amsoil 2 cycles but thats the one I ran which thier "racing" 2 cycle.

And some Mobile One 2 cycle that they sell at Auto Zone. There is also a Valvoline Synthetic 2 cycle at Auto Zone that was pretty good too but I think I could smell it more in the exhaust.

I didnt have smoking issues with any of thiese and I run 1oz per gallon which is a lot. I premix only and have removed the OMP. You guys running a OMP only need to use about 4oz.

Klar 03-11-05 11:49 AM

I remember one thread about good smelling premixes.
Can anyone point me towards it? I can't search very well from work.

^ that is hilarious. Does it actually have the qualitys of 2 cycle or Protec, or is it strictly for scent?

bcty 03-11-05 02:24 PM

running 100% premix i usually mix 100/1 or 125/1 16oz-12oz ripping around to street to be safe when i bag on it. TCW-3 all the way. I was useing castrol super 2 stroke which was great but super expensive so i switch to a generic tcw3 one

FD3SR1 03-11-05 02:48 PM

I will use idemitsu when my car is back up and running.

premixing is good, but it also bring oct. ratings down because you are Diluting the fuel. its always a good idea to get some high oct. fuel to throw in to even it back out

i dont remember where i saw it but some one had comparison pics of an engine that premixed and one that didnt. the one that did looked very clean with little if any carbon, the one that didnt how ever looked dirty and had lots of carbon buildup on the face of the rotor.

adictd2b00st 03-11-05 03:27 PM

this thread is great, thanks for the responses guys.......... i kinda don't have a choice cause i have haltec so i need to premix, i'll have to make sure to stick to the 1 oz to every gallon

Klar 03-11-05 04:02 PM

The sent thing looks like just another add on. Gotta have higher oct fuel for that and premix.

LemonR1 03-11-05 06:10 PM

When do you need to use 2 stroke oil in the FD? Is this for people with a lot of hp or something I should be doing that i havent heard about yet? Sorry for the stupid question, im learning. :p:

Anyone tried the Idemitsu Premix? I'm thinking of switching to this company or I might go with Royal Purple, since I'm using their oil and love the results.

Narfle 03-11-05 10:53 PM

yamalube is the nicest premix on the market.(i said period)

Fatty_FC3S 03-12-05 01:19 AM

Redline 2 Stroke "smokeless" Kart oil. You can usually get it at motorcyle shops, purple/pink lable. $4.95 each. Been using that for years, works great and is designed to burn with the least amount of smoke.
