Greddy Profec B Spec II survey

If you all do not mind taking the time, please list your mods, PSI, and settings for your Profec B Spec II in this order:

Mods:

PSI:

SET:

GAIN:

START BOOST:

(With so many threads asking how to adjust this controller I thought it would be helpful for others, including myself.)

Overkill, glad you asked this. I have the same question, just never got around to asking it. I have a 3" down pipe, 3" mid pipe, 3" catback, grounding kit, greddy profec spec II boost controller, aftermarket intake w/ K&N, HKS turbo timer, 18' Fitipaldi rims all the way around with Falkin skins, Eibach 2" drop, and a few other ammenities.

PSI, I am trying to set it at 10 but all I am pulling now is 8.5 intermittently

I have my wastegate working at 37%. I am having the hardest time putting in the start boost. I have tries pushing the set button twice like it said but the option does not come up. Also, I want to start with 0 gain but when I go to put it below 5, it beeps at me.

Also, what is more acurate, the profec or the boost gauge.

I look forward to everyone else's reply.

the only time you use the set button is to set the desired value, regardless if you are setting your set, gain or start boost. To set your start boost, press the "mode" button until "setboost" is displayed. Turn the set button to the desired value, and then push it to confirm your setting. I'm not sure whats going on with your gain. Is it conflicting with your limit or warning somehow?

hehe, despite my typo, it's more like a negative secondary turbo

BTW, I've read all the horror stories about how people are having the darndest time setting their controller. Don't let that sway your judgementy.I have not had any of those problems so far. I've spent minimal time , and when I say minimal I have only devoted maybe 5 minutes of tune time and I'm getting consistent boost.

Great topic

I'm just about done swapping out the twin turbo with a single. Once it is done I will need to tune it first with the stock ecu. After it is running good I will need to tune it with Apexi Power FC + Commander.

Here are my mods:

Single Turbo
SMIC intercooler
Koyo radiator
Blitz intake
Mid Pipe

Can someone give me the boost setup? Will the boost the same for stock ecu and Apexi Power FC?

Thanks,
