GReddy Hardpipes - Fitment Question
Hi guys,
I need to replace my currently ghetto IC pipe setup. As you can see from the pic below, I'm using silicon hoses where hardpipes should be. I was going to pick up the GReddy aluminim IC pipes, but there looks like there's going to be a fitment issue. Should I be looking into doing the AST removal mod? Or is there some way I can get the hardpipes and the AST to fit? Thanks in advance. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...ay-IC-Hose.gif |
When you order the piping kit, make sure you order the right kind. Greddy made two different versions, one for the greddy smic which has a shorter hard pipe and one for the stock smic which has a longer hard pipe.

Thanks! Since I've got the Blitz SMIC, I should look to get the one compatible with the GReddy SMIC, correct?
Looking at the GReddy site, it looks like the correct hardpipes for the GReddy SMIC are the 2-piece version. What about anybody else out there running hardpipes with an SMIC and an AST? I'd like to see some engine pics so that I can get an idea of how all of this stuff can fit together. |
move the ast, its not a big thing to do, i had mine moved around the coolant filler neck

I don't think you'll need alot of room. Just move your AST to the outside of the mounting bracket. If that isn't enough, use a spacer on the OEM bracket, bend the bracket a little from 90 degrees, or make your own bracket.
As for engine bay pictures......... https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ght=engine+bay |
