Got a problem, please help!

My cousin just bought a 3rd gen and this is the problem.
When he turns his lights on the headlights turn on put the tailights and the inside lights don't work. He has brake lights but he can't figure it out. He changed every fuse but still no help, could it be a short or a wiring problem?

Thanks

There's a thing on the right side of the steering wheel that dims and brightens the inside lights (gauges). Could be that, or maybe the bulbs themselves don't work.

If I remember correctly there is a plug that goes into this dimmer thing and if it is unhooked then none of the lights will work. Possibly someone had the dash appart and didn't hook it back up??? Did they work at some point and now not? Call the previous owner and see whether the dash was apart recently.

Everything is connected, it seems like the dimmer plug is fried cause it's getting no power!
