Got my Denso A/C system fixed, dryer looks different though
It was determined last year that I needed a new evaporator, expansion valve and dryer for my Denso A/C system. As everyone knows, some of those parts are hard to come by.
Ray Crowe managed to source an OEM evaporator, aftermarket expansion valve, and OEM dryer for me. I didn't advertise the fact because Ray thinks he found me the last evaporator in Japan, but anyhow, I'd suggest if you're hard up for any of those parts, go see Ray and see if he has any magic left in that particular wand! After a bit of work at a shop, my A/C is holding pressure and running great with R12 again. One thing I am a bit bummed about though is that the new Denso dryer is finished in black paint instead of being silver, even though it's shaped exactly the same as the original dryer. So, not that anyone would confuse the Denso with the MANA dryer--they look entirely different--but you might see some black dryers out there on Denso systems nowadays. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rx7...914b8c85f4.jpg Updated OEM Denso A/C dryer with black finish instead of silver. |
