fuse question

I noticed some empty spots in the fuse box next to the clutch pedal, under what circumstances do they recive power?

I'm was hoping one of them would be suitable to hardwire my radar detector in using and "add-a-fuse" type of circuit.

Thanks for any help.

Here's another solution to hardwiring your radar detector:

I "tapped" the dome light and ran a short Radar Detector wire from the dome light just above the rear view mirror to the RD. The RD sits just below my rear view mirror. It looks pretty clean. And the RD turns on when the ignition is turned on

The dome light is very simple to tap.
