Fog light switch harness plug?

My 95 R2 does not seem to have the plug to connect to the fog light switch. I have a switch that I'd like to wire in, does anyone happen to know where a male side plug that mates to the foglamp switch can be found? I can wire up something with tiny spade connectors but it would be much better to have the proper plug. Thanks!

Not sure on the connector, but the R2's don't have most of the foglight wiring in place. I THINK I did a writeup of the process ages ago when I put foglights in my car.

Basically the foglights have a Y-harness that goes from each light to a 2-wire black plug that's close to the hood latch. From there it goes to the driver's foot well but the dash side on the R2 doesn't have the rest of the wiring, you have to run wire from there to the switch.

Mine did as I recall. The connector was under the console and it took a bit of searching for the leads in the front, but I don’t remember doing any wiring, it was all p n p.
I pulled them back out years ago.

I can't seem to find the connector under my shifter panel. Do you recall where you found the plug?

The connector is E1-08, a 10-pin white connector with four wires in use.

Is this a R1? Mine’s not under the shifter panel, or the steering column… I wonder if it is behind the hvac panel or if r1 just doesn’t have one.

I missed that you mentioned yours is R1. Not sure about R1, the one i posted is from a touring. Maybe R1s don't have it at all..?

Mazda, perhaps oddly, created a variety of dash/instruments harnesses, rather than run redundant wiring when a car did not feature a particular "option". Hence, if a car did not originally come with fogs, you may not find the fog lights connectors, etc., dangling about.

Review the original sales brochures.
