Is it fine to drive with a leak?
Is it fine to drive the rx7 with a vacuum leak? And also, what should I expect to pay to 1. Get a test to see if it has a leak, which I think it does. And 2. To get the leak fixed? Ball park of amount of hours would be great!

Yes. Most people do. ;)
1) Depends. But probably about an hour of labor, sooo, $70~$100? 2) Depends. But probably about an hour of labor, sooo, $70~$100? If it's simple and can be easily identified without popping off the UIM, you're golden. But a lot of times, the symptoms can be a results of bad check valves, solenoid, etc. On top of that, it might be a good time to upgrade all hoses to silicone if you haven't done that yet. Whatever the case, you are VERY luck y to have Pineapple Racing close by: Pineapple Racing These are the right guys for the job. |

Do they service cars? For some reason I was under the impression they only do motor rebuilds.

How old are your vacuum hoses? As Matt said, it might be time to get in there and do a full hose replacement anyways. PITA but one of the best ways to learn the system for future diagnosis as well as clean up the engine bay.
