Finally NOT a joke RX-7 on ebay

This one is sharp looking all modified in a classy way.
And by the description you can tell it was all done the right way. Some show and a ton of go...

Looks like a ton of time and money was sunk into it....What do you guys think?

vosko 03-10-04 08:26 PM

that is jburer's car

if i had the cash. i would have boughten it a while ago... very nice race/street car. no money was spared on it!

1QWIK7 03-10-04 08:29 PM

nice

XSTransAm 03-10-04 08:39 PM

what roll cage is that and where can i get one?

impactwrench 03-10-04 09:13 PM

This guy is nutsselling for this price. He is leaving something out. He could trade in at the lotus dealer for more than he is asking

baadakku 03-10-04 09:46 PM

That's just the starting price and it has 9 days left. I'm sure his reserve is much higher and I bet he is expecting it to go higher.

JONSKI 03-10-04 09:55 PM

Wow, even has the Bose sound and cruise control.

JONSKI 03-10-04 10:08 PM

Does anyone know the power rating on that car?

RX7SpiritR 03-10-04 10:36 PM

reserve hasn't been met either, its probably reserved for at least 16K or something but I dunno.

tt2323 03-10-04 10:41 PM

what kind of plug wire/coil setup is that? sorry for the rookie ?

widebody2 03-10-04 10:42 PM

John Burer is also a good guy

ebb 03-10-04 10:55 PM

reserve at 16k? is that a joke? If that car sells for anything less than 20 i'll buy it myself.

Mitch529 03-11-04 12:26 AM

That FD is very nice, if it goes for 16k I will cry :tear: I bought my bone stock 7 for 12K. My guess is nothing less that at least 20k

Mitch

tenz0 Racing 03-11-04 01:25 AM

why so low?! with all the custom work i would assume it go for more than 20k

WaachBack 03-11-04 01:36 AM

Nice roll cage

clayne 03-11-04 01:50 AM

So why is he selling it if the car is so great?

I don't understand this phenomenon with some FD owners.

They max it out and it's like the "game is over."

clayne 03-11-04 01:55 AM

See even with a Lotus Elise, it's going to be the same $$ game all over again.

evot23 03-11-04 06:02 AM

Maybe he got bored, needs a new project or already has one.

In any case he IS a good guy.

widebody2 03-12-04 05:33 PM

godzillat78 did the same thing like 2 weeks ago. People need a project...once its done where do you go from there. Personally mine is still in the works but I sure hope I am not one of those people. I'd like to hold onto my car forever if poss.

KaizoRX7 03-12-04 07:57 PM

nice

Speedworks 03-13-04 03:54 AM

Someone has a link to the Sparco Wheels website?

clayne 03-13-04 06:10 AM

For some, I guess it's a project.

For others, it's a car to be driven, even after it is done.

I don't doubt he is a nice guy or anything.

legal-z 03-13-04 11:34 AM

that lotus may cost more up front (although probably not much more than he has in his fd), but i doubt he'll have any maintenance issues similar to the fd. it has a toyota drivetrain and should be completely reliable as a dailly driver and from the factory is in the low 4's to 60 and high 12's in the quarter. there's also a supercharger available from trd that was engineered for that motor. i'd sell my fd in a second for one, but i don't want to drop $39k on a new car.

legal-z 03-13-04 11:35 AM

oh yeah, that lotus looks badass too and has a removeable top.

Feenix710 03-13-04 12:23 PM

I won't buy it, but I should send him a message and let him know that I'd be happy to fly down there every weekend and wax that FD until he sells it. That thing is sick. Amen.
