Im looking to upgrade to an FD car. Ive got an FC that got 26 mpg on the highway when it was at its best and was curious what the FD can get fuel mileage wise with mild driving and the 5 speed trans.

I wouldn't expect to get more than 20mpg highway average. Mixed driving quickly pushes it down to 15mpg for me, and I'm not a lead foot.

Some people get a little higher numbers, but it's not average. Fresh fuel filter, clean injectors, good wiring and charging system, fresh O2 sensor, and good grounding will help keep it high.

FWIW, I recently got just under 24 mpg on an interstate trip btwn home and KC MO....avg about 70 mph, neutral wind and w/AC running. Never checked around town.
