engine stutter and bucking..

okay my fd is making me insane. and i need a little advice from some of you on this common problem.

starting from 1st gear the vehicle will stutter and buck, i'd say about 90% of the time. but drives in higher gears without a hitch(except 1 time in 2nd). when i decelerate in 1st gear, the stuttering and bucking will come back(again VERY common, basically every time i reach ~5mph). even with engine rpms up, the suttering will occur.

i am considering checking the fuel lines for kinks/blockages, then the fuel filter, then the pump.

but what i don't know much about is the TPS. does it sound more like a TPS or fuel flow problem. im confused since the stuttering seems to only occur at low gear.

so what does this problem seem to be caused by? and what else should i check into.

in summary-- the car is basically stock with an aftermarket radiator and ast only. spark plugs are relatively new. as is the fuel filter. needs to have oil changed soon. no overheating problems or history. performs well at high gears high rpm. stutters are low gear low rpm or during deceleration in low gear. basically.. low gear sucks. also, the car idles nicely and fairly smoothly.

any opinions thanks

Does it happen throughout the entire low rpm range or just at a specific rpm? You can find out how to check and adjust your TPS if you search for a thread made by Damian. Also check your ECU for codes. Do you have a check engine light?

the check engine light doesn't show.

i would say the bucking/stuttering is through the range between 1k to 2k. i would say its more of a bucking really .

I'll check the TPS and ECU and report back in the coming days.
