engine smokes

Just had my motor rebuilt. The engine has less than 3k miles on it and blue smoke blowes out the tail pipe on start up (when it sits for awhile). The tranny was fine till I got the car back now it wont shift out of low gears. is the tranny also controlled by the vaccum lines. If anyone has any info let me know also what should I do with the motor is it blown should I have the guy rebuild it again? thanks

A little smoke is normal. It is probably coming from your Turbo chargers. Just keep an eye on your engine oil levels. If you start to see a large consumption then you will probably need new turbos.
