Unhappy Engine problems!

HELP! I was driving tonight, and I wasn't driving that hard but when I drove into a gas station I stopped and noticed the idle was WAY off. I looked at the vacuum and it was at ~12-14 which is really crappy for me, and the car was shaking all over the place with popping sounds. I usually pull ~ 18-20 in vacuum. Could this possibly be a vacuum hose, or could this be the worst that I think? The engine only has like around 7,000 miles on it. If it is I'm going to take it back to the guy that rebuilt the engine and either make him pay for a new one or give me a new rebuild. Please let me know what you think the problem is though. Thanks.

If it's a vacuum leak, normally the idle will jump higher than normal(1500 rpms~).

Sounds like a blown engine to me though....but with 7000 miles on the engine, I doubt it was the engine builder's fault
