Engine Mounts

Uh, I think this one has seen better days. :rlaugh: It appears it twisted itself off in the center. It was just hanging by a thread. I believe this is the driver's side mount.

Where is the best place to pick up a quality set of engine mounts?

Buy a busted used steelie (passenger side IIRC), some good quality bolts and $60 worth of urethane from McMaster Carr. Get out the Sawzall and have fun. https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/motor-mount-163324/page3/

Of course Damian has already done most of the work for us and took nice pictures and wrote it up.

This is what I'm ordering tomorrow to fix my mounts.

Yeah, the drivers side is aluminum and has that bulge in the middle. So would buying a steel passenger side work as a direct fit replacement on the driver side? Mines a 93 so that's why they are different.

yeah. the pass side will have the mounting spots for the heat shield, but you wont need it ... unless you have turbos on the drivers side too. ;)

I got my mounts from Banzai racing ( http://www.banzai-racing.com/ ), I'm very happy with them and great price.

Or you could do as I did and just buy the urethane and cut a hole out so that the bulge will fit down in it.
