Wow dude. Greddy T88 is the turbo (http://www.rx7store.net/product_p/gr...-88%20kit.htm). The engine (based on the picture in your sig) is the 13B-REW, 2 rotor, rotary motor (the standard for all 3rd gen RX-7s). Read the FAQ at the top of the 3rd gen page and I mean all of it. Time to get educated fast or you may be in a world of hurt owning this car. . .

Not trying to be mean, just trying to help.

Where are you in NC? If you're close to the Raleigh/Durham area, I could help you sort things out.

From the pic it looks like a 13B engine with the Greddy T88 single turbo (gigantic in my opinion) with dual blitz blow off valves, and a front mount intercooler. I'm guessing, due to the presence of that turbo, that the car also has an upgraded fuel system (eg injectors, pump), an aftermarket ECU (most likely a power FC given its nearly ubiquitous nature in the RX world), and a slew of other supporting parts. I'd think that a car like this would have meticulous history kept about it. Ask who ever you bought it from. Barring that more pictures would help.

While there seem to be precious few of us in NC, there is no lack of RX guys in Florida. Find somebody in your current area to go over the car with a fine tooth comb, and if you're ever in my area drop me a line. I always like looking at FDs.

Have you received the car yet? The reason I ask is that I believe that is/was Tom Ngo's car from Team Hybrid. Now, I understand he's pimped out an RX8 so maybe he did sell his car, but I would verify what you are actually getting. If that is Tom's old car, you'll need to make sure it's tuned as his car was strictly a show car. I doubt it was ever actually tuned to run.

I had assumed the avatar pic was a stock photo since I recognized the picture from the gallery on the rotary resurrection website.

Here's a little reading on buying an FD.

http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/buyaused.htm

By the way, they were supposedly selling that first car for $7k?! That's roller territory. You said that the first car was being sold on ebay? You have a link? It may have to be reported as a scam.
