Engine ground placment?

I'm going to hook up some extra nice fat ground wires off my engine just because. I'm looking for some ideas on where to hook them up I already have an idea but 2nd opinions are always nice so let me know.
Thanks
Ryker
P.S. what gauge of wire should I use?

I used some 10 gauge... 8 was just too thick IMO...

I used a ground strp from auto zone nice and big for like 3 bucks from the motor to the firewall (replaced that shitty stock one)

I went to Napa. They have a negative terminal with a 18" wire from it.. They say cut the old one and attach the one end of the new one to the batter and the otehr to the chassis.. Works very nicely.. Doesnt hesitate @ all! But then again it didnt do it often before .. ( maybe once or twice during 18 months)

are u refering to the flat stap that goes form the UIM to the firewall?

the thicker, the better.

do one from the block to the frame (under the rear plugs is a good attach hole for the block).

one from the neg. terminal to the chassis.

one from the firewall , pax side, to the back side of the UIM.

one from the junction of the cat and exhaust to the body.
