engine flooding
Ever since it started to get cold here, my car has been much harder to start. I know it's common for a lot of cars to have a hard time starting in the cold, but is there anything I can fix this? since it's getting to a point where if I don't drive it for more than 12 hours or so, it won't start the next day unless I unflood my engine.
The Problem: Every morning since it's been cold the car is hard to start, it either takes like 5-10 seconds of cranking to start, or it just won't start till I unflood the engine. My mechanic is telling me that I need to replace my spark plugs. I'm currently running R6725 for my single turbo set up, which I heard foul easily for normal driving, but I needed them for my tunning which got delayed. I've been running these plugs for about 1500 miles, which isn't a lot. BUT my car is running very rich since it's not tuned. Do you guys think it's the plugs that are doing this? or do I have to tune my car to prevent this from happening. I was supposed to tune my car at the last steve Kan tunning, but one of my sec. injectors wasn't working right so I couldn't tune it. Will I have to tune my car to fix this problem where it floods every morning. Could it be the injectors? or fuel system? Any help would be cool thanks. |
My Kan tuned motor runs very rich when cold. If I shut down the engine when its still cold it floods and takes forever to get it started again.
