Engine diagnostics

Hello all
I have a 1993 3rd gen rx7 twin turbo,

The battery went flat off sitting while away,when i charged it up ,put it back on all i get now is a beep noise coming from the dash.

i was told the engine diagnostics need resetting,but how do you do it,

any information will be gladly received

To reset the ECU you un-plug the battery, turn the key to ACC and hold the brake for 5-10seconds. plug your battery back in and everything should be reset.

Although I don't know what that will do for you. are you sure you have the voltage/amperage you're supposed to?

From the sounds of it, your battery is dead or not providing enough voltage. Mine does this even sometimes after trying to jump it when the battery is toast or doesn't have enough juice.

The battery is fully charged,been checked over.

Going to give nissan converts reply a go,let you's know if it cures the problem

You can check for codes by connecting a jumper from 10 to GND if I recall right. Try that if you need more leads on what to do.

Keep in mind that most of the European versions do not have the CEL on the dash. They need to rig up an LED to get the codes.
