Electrical Problem... Help

I was driving last night when my cars' headlights went down and turned off. I thought it was grounding point number 2 because I've had an issue one time where it got disconnected and I had headlight issues. But when I checked it was still connected. So I checked the headlight fuses and there fine. The switch to raise the headlights still works but when I go to put the headlights on they dont rise or turn on. Has anyone had this problem or have an idea what it could be. Thanks.

The headlight switch (****) might be broken, or the wiring that connects to it. There are some photos of the general area in this thread:
