Question Electrical Problem!

My brother borrowed my car for the weekend. Sunday night when he was about to return the car, he noticed that the dash lights were out. On further inspection so were the tail light and the front bumper lights. He checked the fuse under the dash and it was good.

The repair manual I purchased does not have an electical section. Is there any other fuse that I am missing?

Check the cigarette lighter fuse. That is often tied into other components in many cars.

My FC had the same problem except my fuse was blown and everytime I put a new one in it would pop the second it was in there, I finally after about a week and getting pulled over once took it to rx-7 heaven and they tried putting a new fuse in and said it worked for them come and get it no charge and it was good every since...? I was still bown away why the interior lights would be on the same circuit as the taillights ?!

It's a safety measure. It's a really good way to get your attention and alert you that something is wrong, because you can't see your taillights while you're driving. And in your case, it got your attention real quick.

That makes sense, youngteggo check everyone of your fuses and if they are all good that should be start checking all the bulbs, It happened on my bike none of the fuses blew but every single light on the whole bike just burned out all at once...

check your main fuse too...I _just_ had this happen, but the only difference is that my FD wouldn't start either. No tails, no brake lights, no parking lights, no interior lights, no dash lights, no odometer, etc. I replaced the 120A main fuse (it's in the block attached to the + terminal of the battery), and all's well again.

Well fellas... it seems I have bad switch. I have checked everything and finally decided to bypass the TNS relay an connect directly to the battery. Everyhing lit up like a christmas tree. Now I am dreading the visit to the parts department.

I just thought I would keep you guys in the loop who tried to help.

Thanx
