ECU Difference?

Is there a difference b/w 93 and 94 ECU, will the 93 ecu work with a 94 car?

there is a difference in a cali and non cali ecu because of the egr valve! the cali has an electronic sensor.

For the '93s, you had Cali and non-Cali versions. The Cali versions had a sensor for the EGR valve. All '94s have this sensor.

If you have a '94 and put a '93 ECU in, it will work just fine, but it won't do anything if that sensor is bad, which is no big deal. The EGR system is useless on the FD - Mazda eliminated it all together on the '95s.
