E-Shaft Bolt Torque

How much torque are you guys putting on the front e-shaft bolt when you assemble a rebuild? FSM says 180 to 200 ft/lbs but I have heard others say not that much.

Do you use loctite and if so - how much? A drop? A line?

Thanks for the information.

Jeff

Follow the FSM. I use locktite on the first half of the threads, then silicone on the 2nd. The silicone acts as a backup if oil leaks past the o-ring.
