e-break relocation?
I was wondering if anyone has relocated their ebrake from the passanger side to the driver side. I know the the Apexi Drift FD3S has done it but i was wondering if anyone else has done it and what would have to be done. Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't that get in the way of shifting?
The only thing that I can think of would be to relocate it to the left of the drivers seat. This would mount to the floor between the drivers seat and the door. A lot of Porsche's have their e-brake located there. You could probably use an e-brake from an old 911 or a 914 to accomplish this. Good luck. Jason C. Williams |
240sx has the ebrake left of the shifter (closest 2 you)

why do you want to do that?

If the Jspec has it on OUR driverside then you might can get a Jspec console and move your ebrake over

i thought the jspec versions and the us version the ebrake are in the same spot.
The reason why i want to do this is because its currently very far away and awkward to pull the ebrake from where it is. I want to use it for drifting purposes. |
for drift purposes, if your gonna relocate it why not just put a real rally system type/hydrolic clutch which comes up and is right next to the steering wheel?
all ya gotta do is to weld/bolt in a master clutch/brake cylinder in to the correct position, buy some steel bradied lines with the correct fittings and tap in to and double flare your rear brakes on the abs personnaly i have gotten use to where it is, when i was driving my fc last week, i reached for the ebrake (which is actually onthe other side of the center console) and ended up grabbing for air. for that split second i was thinking wtf, someone stole my ebrake haha |
the FC have the e-brake between the driver seat & the center console as well
