Dynapack + mostly stock fd = :( Help!

Well I finally got around to putting my car on our dyno this morning. Unfortunatly all my suspesions are correct. I have a major power problem with the car... Im gonna leave it on the dyno for today in hopes that one of you knows a quick fix to get my numbers back up.... My mods are a jdm downpipe, apexi intake, and muffler... everything else is stock. Its pretty obvious by the graphs that its a boost problem.

Looks kinda like the secondary turbo is not comming on.. You are gonna need to go through the rats nest.. You may want to try just converting it to non-sequential.. That is usually pretty easy.

Yep, looks like your secondary isn't doing it's job.

I would suggest checking the two vacuum lines that go into the the firwall side of the UIM. Also check the lines going into the pressure chamber.

i read a thing about converting to non sequential by just changing a couple of vacuum lines. the other way is to take off the turbos and change a bunch of stuff.. I would do it if it were as easy as moving a couple of lines.. but how well does that work as compaired?

IMO, you are better off troubleshooting your problem. Either way, the UIM is probably going to have to come off...

It works ok.. put it this way.. it will work better then what you have now :)

It is really up to you.. Try to find the problem.. if you cant, switching to non-seq might be a good option. That is what alot of people do when the turbo control system goes on the fritz.

yeah thats what i figured... guess i will go ahead and do the silicone vacuum line conversion. fun saturday here I come!!!!

Instead of spending all that money on dyno time, you should have spent it on a boost gauge. It'll better help you diagnose a boost related problem

Off topic, but try http://www.imagestation.com

You still can't hot-link pictures, but at least you won't get the pop-up attack.

No, imagestation blows.. I am not signing up to view shit.

And no pop-up problems here :) try running Mozilla. it can block pop-ups

paw140 04-17-03 11:36 AM

True, but it defeats the purpose when the popups don't stop and it crashes IE.
