which downpipe?

Getting a downpipe for my 93 fd, looking at a few different brands and need advice. I was going to get a racing beat ss dp (its taking forever for the shop to get in) and saw a ceramic coated dp, made me wonder which would be better?

Ceramic keeps the heat in the pipe better than SS alone. Hell, my HKS is ceramic coated but I added a layer of fiberglass wrap and sprayed the whole thing with more ceramic

Sorry for being a smartass. Coating is good. All 3" downpipes are pretty much equivalent - stainless is probably slightly better than cast iron but the different is not huge unless you live in the snowbelt.

I bought a used stainless downpipe for $50 or so (Bonez I think) and got it JetHot 2000 coated for $100. My advice is to buy a used downpipe (of any brand) and get it coated.

Depends where in Canada you are. If your in the GTA i can send you some names. I bought a corksport downpipe, fitment was tight. The dp is actually touching the corner of the turbo. Had it ceramic coated locally and it works mint. For the extra bucks it can't hurt. It's not like the car dosn't deserve it. Your not driving a bargin basemnt honda. Don't be a fraid to show her a little love!
