don't fear your balls
I finally got around to replacing the pillow balls where the rear trailing arms connect to the lateral links. I used Max Coopers instructions from his site and it worked beautifully. Took me just over an hour to do both sides; including jacking the car onto the stands. Thanks, Max.
Only tip I would add is that when you press the old pillow ball out, the hardest part is getting it to break loose. I found that if you get your homemade press nice and tight and then give it one sharp smack with a hammer it will turn loose right away and press out without any strain on yourself. Like when I just did my girlfriend's brakes last night and the last shop must have used an air hammer on the caliper bolts. Even with a breaker bar they wouldn't come loose until just a fraction of a second before smashing my hand into the strut.:bash: I then had about    and decided to  |
:bash:

can you please post a link to Max Cooper's site? thanks
