he is really backed up and having trouble getting things out on time though. But I am sure he could do what you wanted, but for a faster response try carbonfiberhoods or another company they might be able to help you out.

Looks like widebodyseven never made a blank LHD cluster surround nor AC... I followed it for awhile but gave up after haven't seen any fitment tests.

It definitely looks like an easy piece. Would I be copying the oem plastic dash? If so, I would need to see the underside. Sometimes these pieces have an easy exterior, but the interior can have some very complicated clips / brackets that are hard to replicate.

We do our best to make them, here's the backside of our Kouki MR2 Carbon fiber taillight cover:

Herlenny, man if you find someone to make this piece please let me know. Maybe we can purchase 2 of them and save a little.

I have the JKL CF dash right now (OEM replica in CF).. I'll take a picture of the back side of that and send it to you. Good thing about this is that most of the back tabs aren't needed except for the head light switch, cruise, and hood mounts. Other tabs could be eliminated. I'll post some pics later today with what's needed and what doesn't.

I'd possibly be interested in a blanked out gauge surround, blanked out a/c panel, and blanked out shifter panel if the prices were decent.

Just about anybody handy with fiberglass can convert one. There used to be a couple people on this board that offered this service, but they haven't posted or updated their websites in years.

My understanding in speaking to several people about this is the front is easy enough. The issue is the different mounting posts and such in the back basically have to be created and glued in by hand.

Another note...the CF Interiors from the Chinese company's on Ebay have some horrible fitment issues. A buddy bout them and their is like a 1" gap between the gauge cluster surround and the gauge cluster hood. Very flimsy as well.

I would be fine with fiberglass. I intended on painting mine to match my 93 interior anyway, regardless of the material it was made of. If more people would be interested in this, you should maybe see about opening a GB. Unless you want to offer insanely low prices to just me

I've contacted the guys who made this one for one of the member few years back:

They are going to let me know how much and also how much to make more than one.

I also have a couple of people in AL who might take on this job too. I'll let you know as I get more info. Mean while, post here if you are interested and I'll check into it.

If you could mock it up in FG, I have a guy who can make molds.. I just don't think he wants to spend time mocking up a piece to make the mold.

Let me know maybe we can work something out if the company I contacted doesn't work out regarding price..

I just need the piece to mock it. It is relatively easy to do. The funny part is if you wanted to do your in fiberglass, I could do it and still be able to mount the cluster you are mounting (Defi) while retaining the turn signals and warning lights or mounting wholes for boost controller and/or turbo timer for a cleaner look.

Rick,

Can you overlay the OEM piece in CF??

I do have a spare surround I could send you and exact hole size for the defi unit.. Let me know.. Maybe this could work out.. I'll call my mold guy about making a mold tomorrow.. and I'll see what the other guys will charge.

I have never dealt with CF but it can't be that hard and different that fiberglass. Doing the overlay on CF could be a PITA because the wave would have to match your AC panel, driver side plastic panel and hood.

The best thing to do is for you to send me the gauge surround for me to make it a blank piece out of fiberglass and then have your friend overlay it with CF and cut out he area to mount the Defi unit as YOU would like it positioned (high, low, center, ETC).

Either PM for details or hit me in FB.

Wouldn't be cheap, carbon man....if he's still here, could....and not hard to contact anyhow. He'd need a cack-handed original for it though, as they're not thick on the ground locally.

Here's his rh version, ADL has been pilfered, pretty dusty after sitting 4 or 5 years.
