well the way i see it im going to have an 11 sec car that cost me $32 000 cdn

to date my fd cost me $25 000 in june it will be up to $32 000 the way i see it can walk all over prosche boxsters and m3s now and they cost around $100 000 cdn. the only thing im sick of is the down time esp when i only have maybe 6 months out of the year i can drive my car.

I keep telling everyone here BUY A LOW MILEAGE STOCK FD!My last fd bought it with 27 k on it had a broken wire and a rubber hose replaced off the ic thats all the problems i had when i sold it at 51 k.My current fd bought it with 8300 mi and it now has 16,500, NO PROBLEMs at ALL. Pay some extra $$ and save yourself major headaches down the road.

THAT IS THE COOLEST THING ANYONE HAS MADE UP. Besides ive put 5 grand into my car. and thats for the small ass battery/t78 with piping/intercooler/koyo radiator with ast tank.

but always around $100 dollars a month for tuneups. and then $2.39 for 93. (it gets expensive fast) save money by car pooling. mon-thurs. drive from fri-sun. only waste a half of a tank



for the number of fd's that are around tell me where to find a low mileage fd. hardly any here

Except for reliability mods, most things done to FDs are steps AWAY from reliability and towards dumping more cash into them.

I really think I have a problem...

I spend my free time on this forum and don't know what's going on around the world (unless rotary related)... I have 3 FD's and I drive something else to work because one of them is down, other waiting for something else to be put on, last one has boost issue and battery needs to be replace. I get parts in the mail at least once a week, and my basement and my garage are full of parts (When I said full of parts, I could put together another car with just my spare parts).

I wouldn't go buy a DV camera, because I reason myself that I don't really need it, but I would spend 2+k on some seats (Spirit R) without any reasoning...

I think I might have to check myself into Rotoholics Anonymous.

People who have had many FDs or people that have driven many miles in a FD know that you speak the truth.

The first day I’ve own the car it had cause me nothing but trouble. Replace motor. Went with a BNR stage 3. And still cause problem. Now I’m trying to finish my ls1 swap and it’s taking forever as well. I don’t even know if I want to keep the car anymore.

I love dumping $$ in mine, I just don't love not having enough to dump as often as I want. That's where I stand

Sure, it sucks writing the check or letting go of the cash but, as soon as the new parts are on and Im back in the drivers seat with my foot on the gas I forget all about how much I just spent. Works every time.

owned for 2.5 years, 80K on the chassis. I've put a new engine(dead coolant seals), reliability mods, downpipe and intake, and refreshing the suspension(SOOO many bushings!!!!!). It adds up quick. But I guess it's just the price of owning this car!

Bushings, I feel your pain!!! When I bought my FD it had a light knocking (and it was light) in the rear and I knew it needed some new bushings........several months and sever grand, every bushing on the rear end was replaced. The previous owner had beaten the car to death and every, im mean every bushing on the rear end was shot. But now the the car handels like new with all new bushings.
