Which diffuser is this?

I'm thinking about putting a diffuser on my car as a part of a full 99 spec conversion with the apexi side skirts. Found this RE Amemiya one on fd3s.net but they dont give an exact name and the pictures are only close-ups. Looking for something similar to that one with multiple vertical fins thatll blend with the 99spec conversion. Or something similar to the F430 one, those are damn sexy Also are any of these proven to create downforce?

Its the "street" diffuser opposed to "pro" and no it wont add downforce.

Any idea where I could get one or something similar? Are any of these diffusers proven to provide downforce?

the ones I have seen in person are just for looks. The only thing that holds them to the car are a few dinky screws.

Maybe the mazdaspeed ones are functional .

A rear diffuser is'nt for downforce, its to clean the air flow under the car.

They work , its not just for show.

It will give you downforce IF the car is flat and low. But thats not the case here...

Covers the purpose of a diffuser. It basically causes a pressure differential or "sucking" action that does introduce downforce. The diffuser also stabilizes air flow and helps keep the rear end from walking. However, this only works at higher speeds and is completly worthless for most street driving. Though I think a black diffuser and a black fd is hot.

yeah you want to see a nice diffuser with fins... look no further than mercedes + mclaren. if anyone out there can make one similar (in fiberglass or CF) ill be your first and second coustomer. i love this diffuser, and want a similar one on my FD!! (notice however the entire belly has a flat pan on it which transitions in an upward sweep to the diffuser)

personally i think for the back of the FD, the old amemiya diffuser was a bit too chunky. the FD's got a delicate back side and a few more (slightly more shapely) fins would look much better. problem is we're still disrupting air between the front pan and the rear diffuser. however... aesthetically, i think something very close to this design would suit a 99 FD quite well. did i mention id buy a couple food for thought you aereo-CF-designers

Functional diffusers create downforce which pulls the car down with it... and yes it keeps the car stable at high speeds as well.
