differential renforcement
Hey guys. My setup will have an estimate of about 550 to 600 whp. I got driveshaft shop axles. Cusco rs diff. Pfsupercars diff brace. Pretty much i redid everything. What are your opinions on a powerplant frame. Should i upgrade to the mazdaspeed or is stock sufficient?. I can always customize the stock one to be stronger but what do you guys think?

The stock PPF can easily handle over 600whp with support. Sounds like you have the rearend pretty solid. Our transmission crossmember supports the other end of the PPF, stopping the trans from moving around, this help to prevent PPF cracking and reduces motor mount failure.

I was looking into that piece for a while now. The only thing is im running a t56 viper tranny. I was going to fab one up but if you guys sell one for the t56 trans i would deff buy that. It would save me the headace of fabricating one lol. If worst comes to worst i have pretty much everything laid out on a cardboard template just need the steel and to do some welding

Don't know how you are using the PPF with the T56, but honestly I have not bothered to look into the conversion since my stock trans has held up fine with my 20B at over 600whp..
We do not sell a product for the T56. |

For the benefit of the OP and me, has anyone ever found a significant difference between stock PPF and the MS verson? |
Hmm Maybe consider using the samberg v8 swap kit, just not the v8 subframe, it deletes the ppf.

To the OP....do your own search to make sure, but AFAIK, no one has ever definitively identified anything about the MS PPF that's stronger. It's a pretty red color, comes with the "official" MS serial number and costs a shit-load more, but seems to be identical in every other respect. |

I welded the seems on my ppf. And two small plates where it usually cracks. I launch the car like crazy for a year now no problems.

^I've heard that. But any way to confirm it? Any MAZDA internal documentation, metalurgy tests, even maybe customer literature making that claim?

If comfort is not enough, which it should be for any street driven car, the Trans Brace is a much simpler product which only solid mounts the trans to the body. The Trans Crossmember replaces the flimsy tunnel brace and actually helps stiffen the chassis. The trans is then mounted to the Crossmember with the isolated mount.
