If you're going to be waiting a while and still want to drive the car you can use the gasket as a template for a block-off plate (use a jig saw). Then set the idle manually using the bypass orifice.

I can take a picture tomorrow morning, I already have a block off plate, but I can't get the car to idle with it on... Even adjusting the screw either direction to the fullest.....

clayne 06-22-04 11:54 PM

What screw are you adjusting?

The car should definitely idle without an ISC.

Don't use the throttle set screw - use the screw at the bottom of the TB, underneath the UIM elbow.

If you are using that one and the car will not idle without the ISC I don't know what to say other than maybe adjusting the throttle pre-load afterwards to allow even more air in.

Are you worried that it might be something else sense many others can idle just fine without it?
